Art and Beauty: Step into Art Basel Hong Kong with Audemars Piguet
What is art? Some say art is an ethereal castle in the air; some say art is untamed and whimsical imaginative ideas; some say art is a pretentious facade for the wealthy; some say art is an undecipherable celestial script……In my view, none of these can fully encapsulate art; they are merely different manifestations of art within individual minds. Art is not distant and unreachable; it originates from life yet rises above it, reflecting reality while extending it. In the realm of art, there is no understanding or misunderstanding, nor is there any distinction between highbrow and lowbrow, because every piece of art is worthy of respect and appreciation. When you linger in a lifelike gallery, as long as you feel a glimmer of emotional resonance, the journey is worthwhile.

Audemars PiguetTake You to See Exhibitions with Added Interest

No matter how you live, how you pursue art, or how you navigate a busy life, a sense of fun and interest is always paramount. Even in profound fields, if something fails to bring people interest and freshness, it loses its value and meaning for existence. This Art Basel Hong Kong includes Galleries, Insights, Discoveries, and Encounters, with each exhibition area bringing you into fascinating spaces worth exploring through different exhibited works, allowing you to gain an in-depth overview of artistic styles from various countries.

These characters do not exist in reality; they are creatively unique and ingenious.

These symbols represent a standardised symbolic life, derived from 'Book from the Ground'.

What is your impression of delicious cream? It is surprisingly used as a medium for painting, and with such realism.
Audemars Piguet takes you to the exhibition of mystery
Some works may appear to be just a painting, a scene, or a person, yet they contain profound meanings. Many people say they do not understand art, but have you ever tried to understand it with your heart? When visiting an exhibition, you must first feel; the most important thing about art is the feeling. If your first visit is merely a cursory glance, then under the guidance of the Audemars Piguet team, an in-depth tour allows us to understand the meaning of the works more thoroughly, enabling us to personally experience the journey from ignorance to richness, from superficiality to depth, and from confusion to clarity.

This work comes from a young artist, inspired by noisy sounds, with rhythm subtly influencing it.

From a distance, this work is a brilliant landscape, but up close, it reveals many details—a mosaic pattern composed of many smiling faces.

At first glance, you might find this work cute, but it presents the duality of human nature.

Each colour is a different manifestation, appearing chaotic yet orderly.
Some abstract works may look like simple lines to you, yet they carry rich realistic significance; some serene sculptures may only appear to be playful, clever arrangements to you, yet they embody the calm state of mind of the author after a lifetime of restlessness. Any work may have criticism, controversy, or doubt; only works worth thinking about truly touch the public. (PS: Many paintings seen in exhibitions have long been auctioned by collectors and private enthusiasts; being able to see so many masterpieces here is a visual treat.)
Audemars Piguet takes you to the exhibition of immersion
Fine watchmaking and high-end art may seem like two parallel worlds; the former reveres meticulous precision, while the latter is obsessed with emotions that elevate life. Audemars Piguet constantly explores the interface between these two fields, building an imaginative, multi-dimensional world with exceptional standards and a spirit of innovation.

The creativity of the Audemars Piguet pavilion stems from a strong contrast: the primitive environment of the Vallée de Joux, full of valleys and rocks, contains majestic vitality in a harsh environment; while at the Audemars Piguet factory, those quiet watchmakers and precise components are so awe-inspiring. Deeply understanding the common ground between art and craftsmanship, artistic inspiration is injected into precision timepieces.

Audemars Piguet continues to partner with Mathieu Lehanneur to relaunch the “ Mineral Lab ” booth with a brand-new design. Compared to last year, the design concept of the booth has changed from winter to spring, and an ecological living wall has been added around it. The dense moss shows the transition and changes of the four seasons, and this exhibition hall also incorporates a new custom sound installation designed by French artist Alexandre Joly.

A magical ecological wall that makes sounds, featuring mechanisms resembling small mushrooms.
Deeply understanding the common ground between art and craftsmanship, and injecting artistic inspiration into precision timepieces, Audemars Piguet gives every watch a unique style. Professional quality stems from the watchmaking skills inherited by the family, while a deep understanding of artistic creation has shaped a richer emotional experience for the timepieces.
