　　This timepiece is a tribute by watchmaker Schaffhausen to British adventurer David de Rothschild and his crew. In 2010, this expedition team sailed across the Pacific Ocean aboard a pioneering and peerless catamaran named the Plastiki.

　　The Plastiki expedition set an environmental milestone. Weighing 12 tonnes, the catamaran stayed afloat supported solely by 12,500 recycled plastic bottles, journeying from San Francisco to Sydney to raise global awareness of ocean health, particularly the issue of countless plastic waste items discarded into the sea. David de Rothschild is not only an environmental pioneer but also an exceptional thinker with extraordinary ideas and boundless passion. Through this initiative, he and his team demonstrated firsthand that waste can also be utilised as a resource.
