The Grandmaster Chime   Ref.  6300  is a brand new grand complication watch, ranking first among Patek Philippe's current grand complication watches. This reversible watch features  20  complications, including five striking mechanisms, two of which are patented world firsts. This watch features a white gold case equipped with a patented reversible mechanism, allowing either side of the dial to be worn facing up.

The new Grandmaster Chime   Ref.  6300  differs from the commemorative edition of the same name   Ref.  5175, which featured an original hand-engraved rose gold case and was limited to  7  pieces. This new Grandmaster Chime features a white gold case with a hand-engraved Clous de Paris hobnail pattern and belongs to Patek Philippe's regular watch collection. Naturally, the creation process of the Grandmaster Chime remains extremely time-consuming, ensuring   Ref.  6300  retains its rarity and preciousness. This watch uses three gongs to chime the time, striking automatically every fifteen hours via the grande and petite sonnerie mechanisms, or chiming the time to the exact minute on demand via the minute repeater function, and can also sound an alarm at a preset time like an alarm clock; it can also chime at longer intervals, namely indicating the exact date on demand via the date repeater mechanism. These striking modes are all displayed on the same side of the dial, which simultaneously shows the time, second time zone, moon phases, date, and the power reserves for both the movement and the striking mechanism. The reverse side of the dial displays the perpetual calendar. In the center is a four-digit year display, surrounded by four sub-dials: an analog date display with leap year cycle located at  6  o'clock, day display at  9  o'clock, month display at  3  o'clock, and 24  hour display at  12  o'clock.

The hand-wound movement   GS   AL  36-750  QIS   FUS   IRM   is the most complicated watch movement in Patek Philippe's history, comprising  1,366  parts operating between two gold dials. Power for the movement is stored in two twin mainspring barrels, one providing up to  72  hours of continuous operation for the movement, and the other providing  30  hours of power for the striking mechanism. The movement is equipped with multiple auxiliary devices to enhance ease of use and protect the watch from damage due to accidental erroneous operation. The pushers and correctors feature signature fine engraved patterns, and the dial displays the various individual functional modes (striking mode, alarm switch, crown position, etc.).

The new Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime  Ref.  6300  features a  18K  white gold case, adorned with a hand-guilloched Clous de Paris pattern, and houses a patented reversing mechanism between the lugs. One side of the dial is black, featuring white printed scales with white gold hands and hour markers, also decorated with a hand-guilloched Clous de Paris pattern. The other side is white, featuring black scales and hands. This watch is paired with a black alligator leather strap, secured by a white gold fold-over clasp.
