2005-2014      , adhering to a distinct style of understated subtlety and enduring elegance, Patek Philippe has presented numerous exquisite, precious and superior quality timepieces to watch enthusiasts and collectors in China, each embodying the intrinsic depth and unique poise of the brand. Since entering the Chinese market a decade ago, Patek Philippe has witnessed many memorable moments, and the commemorative timepieces dedicated to these occasions vividly showcase the aesthetic craftsmanship both inside and out of the dial, possessing exceptionally high appreciation and collection value. In 2005-2014, Patek Philippe launched limited edition commemorative timepieces five times in China, including 9 commemorative table clocks, 6 custom pocket watches and 7 commemorative watches.

       To commemorate its official entry into Bund eighteen in month 9 of 2005, Patek Philippe specially designed a dome table clock featuring a panda motif with distinct Chinese characteristics. Patek Philippe dome clocks are the most precious of all cloisonné enamel treasures, and each one is unique. Gold wire outlines separate the opaque or translucent enamel, defining every detail. It takes 18 to 20 metres of fine gold wire to complete the entire piece. This panda clock, named "Panda", has an actual height of 21.5 centimetres and a diameter of 12.5 centimetres. The surface of the clock depicts a lifelike giant panda, a national treasure of China. Using energy captured by the solar panels on the top of the clock to power the 29-jewel built-in movement, it is a crystallisation of “art and science”. The entire production process for this panda clock took 9 months. Meticulous craftsmanship is Patek Philippe's consistent commitment to timepiece quality.

       The Calatrava Ref.5296 watch is a limited edition specially created by Patek Philippe for the opening of the Beijing boutique. It features a sapphire crystal exhibition case back inscribed with "Patek Philippe Genève" and "Beijing 2008" . The silvery-grey dial is fitted with gold applied hour markers. It is produced in a limited edition of 28 pieces, with each piece bearing a unique limited edition number—an extreme rarity among Patek Philippe limited edition timepieces, making it exceptionally commemorative and collectible.

       In addition, Geneva's watch artists drew inspiration from three world-renowned Beijing landmarks—the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace—to create three cloisonné enamel 18K gold dome table clocks rich in Chinese characteristics. Named after their magnificent appearances as “Longxing Forbidden City”, “Lanyu Temple of Heaven”, and “Fushou Yihe” respectively. Among them, “Fushou Yihe” is the only Patek Philippe dome table clock featuring Chinese calligraphy.

       To commemorate the 5th anniversary of Patek Philippe in China, a special limited edition annual calendar watch is introduced in Ref.5399 white gold and rose gold models, equipped with the Caliber 324 S QA LU 24 H automatic mechanical movement. It incorporates Patek Philippe's signature “Clous de Paris” pattern to highlight the uniqueness of the limited edition. The rose gold model Ref.5399 is paired with a silvery-grey dial, whilst the white gold model features a rare beeswax-coloured dial. Ref.5399The case back, measuring 38 millimetres in diameter, is engraved with the commemorative "Shanghai 2010" (Shanghai 2010) lettering, exuding cultural and artistic flair. Ref. 5399 is issued in a limited edition of 25 pieces for each of the white gold and rose gold versions.

       To celebrate the grand opening of the Shanghai Maison, Patek Philippe has specially crafted several commemorative watches, pocket watches, and table clocks.

       Ref.5130“World Time ” watch, available in white gold and rose gold, Caliber 240 HU, self-winding, the dial displays 24 time zones, with the East Eighth zone marked with "Shanghai" in red. The centre of the dial features a guilloché pattern in mid-grey (for the rose gold model) or black (for the white gold model), with a fold-over clasp. The sapphire crystal case back is engraved with the metallic inscription "Patek Philippe Shanghai Salon Inauguration 2012".

       The Patek Philippe Ref. 1614M“ Marine” dome table clock is a Baccarat carved and platinum-plated crystal dome table clock. The dome, curved body, and dial are all handcrafted from double-layered crystal: a cobalt blue outer layer and a transparent colourless inner layer. The dual-layer crystal is produced by the renowned crystal manufacturer Baccarat, where skilled crystal artisans first blow the cobalt blue outer shell and then blow a layer of transparent crystal inside it. Subsequently, these two layers of crystal are fused into a single structure, forming a uniform double-layered crystal. Consequently, the hand-carved decorative pattern stands out brilliantly against the backdrop of the inner transparent crystal. The exquisite and intricate spiral pattern is produced using a lathe equipped with cutting wheels. The edges of the pattern undergo gradient etching to present varying shades of blue. The carving process requires professional artisans to spend more than 100 hours to complete. Transparent crystal base. Unique piece.

       Patek Philippe Ref. 1627M “Peacock ” cloisonné enamel dome clock, specially commissioned to commemorate the opening of the Patek Philippe Shanghai Salon. The gold wire used to separate the different colour segments measures approximately 49.95 metres (weighing about 99.90 grams). The peacock and feathers, created using the cloisonné enamel technique, incorporate nearly 25 shades of transparent or opaque enamel. Each enamel section requires firing between 800° and 850° for 6 to 9 times. Cloisonné enamel dial with an hour track featuring black enamel applied Breguet-style numerals, the silver dial centre is decorated with a guilloché pattern and covered in translucent green enamel.        The Patek Philippe Ref. 1635M“Chinese Carp” dome table clock is a Baccarat carved and platinum-plated crystal dome table clock. The dome, curved body, and dial are all handcrafted from two layers of crystal: an orange outer layer and a transparent inner layer. The base is made of transparent crystal. The carp relief pattern on the body is hand-carved, and the edges of the pattern are etched to create a striking contrast between the frosted transparent inner crystal and the vibrant orange highlights of the outer layer. Hand-carving alone requires professional artisans nearly 150 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. Platinum-plated hour track with relief Arabic numerals. Unique piece.

       Patek Philippe Ref. 1641M“Old Shanghai ” cloisonné enamel dome clock, with enamel glazing effects, decorated with patterns in the style of Chinese 18-century pottery. The gold wire used to separate the different colour segments measures approximately 26.94 metres (weighing about 53.88 grams). Approximately 33 shades of opaque, transparent or translucent enamel are used. Each enamel section requires firing at a high temperature of approximately 900° for 5 to 7 times. Cloisonné enamel dial with an hour track featuring black enamel Roman numerals, the silver dial centre is decorated with a guilloché pattern and covered in translucent light blue enamel.        Ref.5153Adopting the classic Calatrava officer-style case, this commemorative timepiece specially designed for the opening of the Beijing Maison features a special engraving of the exterior of the Beijing Maison on the dust cover, along with the inscription "Maison Patek Philippe Beijing Inauguration 2014", making it exceptionally meaningful. The white dial is paired with black-lacquered Breguet-style numerals and 18K gold blackened hands. It features a sweep seconds hand and a date window display. The movement utilises the Caliber 324 S C automatic mechanical movement, comprising 213 parts in total and bearing the Patek Philippe Seal.
