    In fact, claiming a tax refund for watches in Italy is very simple and generally consists of three steps:

1, Get the form

    Look for the Global Blue Tax Free Shopping sign in the shop window.

    When paying for your purchase, please ask the shop assistant for your tax refund form.

    There are three types of Global Blue tax refund forms (blue, white, or similar to a credit card receipt). Please fill in the required information on the tax refund form using capital English letters.

    Please note: An incomplete tax refund form = no tax refund

2, Get it stamped

    At the airport, please allow sufficient time for the tax refund process before your flight.

    Before checking in for your flight, please present your completed tax refund form, passport, and the purchased goods at the customs office to obtain a customs stamp.

    Please carry the unused goods with you (do not check them in) in case the customs officer needs to inspect them.

    Please note: No customs stamp = no tax refund

3. Get your money

    Go to a tax refund counter displaying the Global Blue logo. Please present your completed and stamped tax refund form to receive your refund in cash or via credit card. For cash refunds at certain airports, a fixed fee will be charged for each refund form.

    Please note: The refund you receive is the VAT minus the cash processing fee for the tax refund point.

    No time to get your tax refund? Please mail your completed and stamped tax refund form to the processing centre, and you will receive your refund via credit card.

    Please note that a service fee will be deducted from your Global Blue tax refund.
