The Métiers d'Art Savoirs Enluminés collection is inspired by a 12th-century work, the Aberdeen Bestiary. This precious manuscript is currently housed in the library of the University of Aberdeen. Vacheron Constantin combines its original watchmaking expertise with exquisite artistic craftsmanship to pay tribute to miniature painting and create a unique way of displaying time.

A reinterpretation of extraordinary enamelling craftsmanship Each watch is adorned with an animal motif from the Aberdeen Bestiary.

The “ goat ” from the Aberdeen Bestiary is the guardian of the earth, rendered in deep blue with a sharp gaze, as if endowed with extraordinary discernment. { 7000S/000G-B002 }.

The “ kingfisher ” from the Aberdeen Bestiary is a delicate seabird closely associated with water, faithfully building its nest on the coast regardless of wind, frost, rain or snow, and serving as a symbol of peace and tranquility. 7000S/000G-B003 }.

1120 AT automatic winding movement, dragging hour indication, equipped with a gold oscillating weight decorated with a tapestry motif

The upper dial references the masterpiece of illustration art from the Aberdeen Bestiary, fired using the Grand Feu enamel technique, perfectly combining miniature painting and champleve enamel craftsmanship. The lower dial is decorated with smooth raised text, contrasting sharply with the delicate grained dial, resembling glowing pieces of gold leaf. The side of the watch case is engraved with the name of the mythical beast, paying tribute to the art of calligraphy. The dragging hour display of the watch is driven by the 1120 AT automatic winding ultra-thin movement, with hour markers sliding from top to bottom on the dial, just like eyes gliding over the pages of a book.

Each model is a limited edition of 20 pieces and is individually numbered, adding to the splendour of the Vacheron Constantin Métiers d'Art collection.
