Tribute to Van Gogh: Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces the Reverso à Eclipse hidden enamel painting watch

The dial and case back of the Reverso make it an exceptional timepiece for showcasing masterworks. On this auspicious occasion, Jaeger-LeCoultre, alongside boutique partner Gassan, proudly presents the Reverso à Eclipse hidden enamel painting watch Van Gogh Sunflowers limited edition to commemorate the great painter Vincent • van Gogh.

       This unique timepiece is the result of a close collaboration between Swiss watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre and its Dutch partner Gassan, which sought to create an exceptional timepiece combining the three elements of skill, art and heritage to pay tribute to the world-renowned Dutch master painter Vincent • van Gogh. The artistic masterpiece created by the enamel artist on the dial brings these three elements together in Jaeger-LeCoultre's Reverso à Eclipse hidden enamel painting watch. When the shutters open, Van Gogh's famous painting Sunflowers, hidden beneath the dial, is revealed.  

       This distinctive reversible watch features a rose gold case and is powered by a Jaeger-LeCoultre in-house 849 movement. The Reverso à Eclipse hidden enamel painting watch perfectly interprets miniature enamel painting, a rare craft of traditional charm that demands extreme dexterity and patience. A simple gesture opens the shutters of the watch dial to reveal the unique charm of Vincent • van Gogh's Sunflowers miniature painting.

       This unique artistic masterpiece is jointly created by Jaeger-LeCoultre and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, issued in a limited edition of 5 pieces. From 2015 9 4, this work will be exhibited at the Van Gogh Museum following the completion of the new entrance building.
