How to Synchronise a Casio Radio-Controlled Watch How to Set the Time on a Casio Radio-Controlled Watch
Casio began selling its first radio-controlled watch (FKT-100) in Germany in 1995. After Japan began transmitting standard radio waves in 1999, Casio comprehensively expanded its research and development of radio-controlled watches in 2000. In 2001, it developed a low-power consumption, automatically synchronising radio-controlled watch with luminescent lighting. In 2002, it developed models capable of receiving three types of radio waves simultaneously from Japan and the United States, alongside slimmer women's watches. In 2004, it successfully solved the radio reception issue for metal-dial watches. In 2006, it went even further by developing a global product capable of receiving five types of radio waves simultaneously, including from the United States, Europe and Japan. Through these active product development activities, Casio gradually took the lead in the radio-controlled watch market and began pioneering cutting-edge radio-controlled watch technology.
Casio radio-controlled watches have a built-in high-sensitivity compact antenna that receives standard radio waves for automatic time synchronisation, thereby achieving precise timekeeping. Currently, standard radio waves are transmitted internationally in Germany, Britain, the United States and Japan. In 7 2007, a newly built radio tower in Shangqiu, Henan, China began transmitting radio waves.
