How to Adjust the Time and Date on a Mido Belluna Watch
As a new addition to the Mido family, the Belluna collection stays true to Mido's celebrated Swiss watchmaking philosophy—clean, bold lines, expert mechanical technique, and carefully chosen materials, making it a favourite among consumers. How do you adjust the time and date on a Mido Belluna watch?

1. Do not adjust the watch's calendar, day or moon phase functions between 21:00 PM and 3:00 AM. During this period, the date mechanism is actively engaging, and the gear mesh is at its lowest clearance; frequent adjustments during these hours can damage the internal components of the watch.
2. Day-date switching mechanisms are divided into quick and slow types depending on the movement design: the first type completes the date jump within ±5 minutes, whilst the second type completes the change within 3 hours.
3. If your watch features a screw-down crown, do not force it open. First, rotate the crown anti-clockwise to unscrew and release it. After adjusting the time, turn the crown clockwise while pressing it in to lock it securely, preventing water ingress.
4, if you need to adjust the date on a watch with a calendar function, please first set the calendar to the day before the required date, and then rotate the hour hand to adjust the date. The date will change when the hour hand passes midnight at 12, which avoids any confusion between day and night caused by direct date adjustment.
5, please do not adjust the date between 22 and 2 (or 20 and 4 for some watches), as this can easily cause damage to the watch and incorrect calendar advancement.
6, to extend the service life of the watch, many timepieces adopt a slow-change mechanism, which means the date changes gradually around midnight. It is generally normal for the change to be completed before 2 in the early hours, while some watches finish by 4. Therefore, you should not be surprised if you see that the watch date has not changed at one o'clock in the morning.
7, adjustments can be made if the date changes during the daytime --- if you find that the date changes around midday, it generally means the watch time is fast or slow by 12 hours. For example, if it is currently 11 in the morning, but the watch shows 11 on the previous afternoon, you simply need to advance the hour hand by a full circle, changing the afternoon to the morning.
8, generally when adjusting watch time, it should be done clockwise rather than anticlockwise. Adjusting anticlockwise can easily cause deviation in the hand alignment (two-hand quartz watches should be adjusted anticlockwise). It also affects the accuracy of the watch.
9, for a double-calendar watch, the date is usually adjusted clockwise and the day of the week anticlockwise.
