Forgetting her fare, a girl takes off her Longines watch and gives it to the taxi driver

On the evening of 10 26, taxi driver Master Wan was out working as usual. When he drove to Nanping, a girl walked towards his taxi. The girl was about 20 years old, stumbling as she walked, and appeared to have had quite a lot to drink.

As soon as the girl got into the car, she told Master Wan that she wanted to go to the Guangsia Cheng residential area in Jiulongpo District. Master Wan drove to the entrance of the residential area, where the girl searched her bag for a long time but could not find any money. At this point, she took the watch straight off her wrist and handed it to Master Wan, saying, 'I don't have any money on me, use this to cover the fare.' The girl then got out of the car.

Master Wan was a bit bewildered. The watch the girl gave him looked very exquisite and was likely quite expensive. Master Wan thought that since the girl was drunk today, what if she sobered up the next day, found her watch missing, and accused him of taking it? Therefore, Master Wan delivered the watch to the taxi dispatch centre and then went to the Jiulong Police Station in Jiulongpo District to report and log the incident.

After conducting enquiries, the police learned that the security guard on duty at the residential area at the time had helped the girl into the estate after she got out of the taxi, and should know the intoxicated girl. Consequently, the police immediately contacted the security guard on duty at the time. Using the information provided by the guard, the police contacted this 'generous' girl and notified her to claim her watch. Only then did Master Wan's mind rest at ease.

The reporter learned that the watch the girl gave to Master Wan was aLongines watch, worth ten thousand yuan. Currently, the girl has retrieved her watch and has also paid the taxi fare of approximately 50 yuan.
