Introduction: Rolex has always been a standard accessory for fashion, and among Rolex watches, this Rolex Yacht-Master II is certainly worth mentioning.

  Introduction

Compared to the Yacht-Master I, the Yacht-Master II has an increased case diameter from 40 mm to 44 mm, and is equipped with Rolex's latest in-house movement, the cal.4160 automatic winding movement, which features a mechanical memory countdown function making it better suited for yacht race timing. Specifically developed for professional sailors, the Yacht-Master II is the world's first watch equipped with a patented mechanical memory countdown function, allowing participants in yacht races to synchronise their start timing completely with official timekeeping. The latest Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II echoes the exceptional courage to challenge rough seas, fully embodying the dynamic spirit of long-distance yacht racing. Crafted from a combination of 18K Everose gold and 904L stainless steel, the watch has a 44 mm diameter design with a white dial. On the side of the watch, alongside the crown featuring the coronet logo, there are 2 countdown push-pieces used for timing the countdown. The bracelet is also crafted from 18K Everose gold and 904L stainless steel, featuring a folding clasp engraved with the classic coronet logo. Specially developed by Rolex for yacht races, the Yacht-Master II is equipped with a Ring Command bezel. It is the first time a bezel has been combined with a mechanical device and connected directly to the movement, making the bezel the core component for adjusting the countdown function, allowing wearers competing in the race to reset it according to the race's starting positions.

The watch is driven by the 4161 mechanical chronograph self-winding movement, entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. This movement is the result of 35, 000 hours of tireless research and features a patented innovative yachting chronograph equipped with a countdown function. The movement consists of over 360 components, with some intricate and complex parts manufactured using innovative cutting-edge technology developed by Rolex. Like all Rolex Perpetual movements, the 4161 movement has obtained Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute certification, which is specially awarded to accurate watches that successfully pass the Swiss Chronometer Testing Centre (COSC) tests. Its construction, identical to that of all Oyster movements, offers unrivalled reliability.

  Conclusion

The watch also features a Triplock winding crown, a triple waterproofness system specially designed for diving watches, ensuring the watch is water-resistant to 100 metres.
