Popular Rolex Model: Blue-Black Dial Deepsea

　　Introduction: In 2014,RolexTo commemorate the renowned director and diving explorer Cameron successfully reaching the Challenger Deep, the deepest point of the Mariana Trench, in 2012, this DEEPSEA watch was specially released. Cameron's exploration depth back then reached 10908 metres, breaking the world record. Descending alongside him was a specially crafted Rolex DEEPSEA CHALLENGER watch with a water resistance of 12000 metres. This feat was recorded in the annals of deep-sea diving exploration, and the Rolex type 116660 DEEPSEA watch also utilised a very interesting blue-black gradient dial to represent the journey from the shallow water area to the deep sea and finally into the completely pitch-black trench depths, commemorating the event.

　　This watch has no configuration differences from the earlier all-black dial DEEPSEA, save for the altered dial design which is clearly more fashionable, youthful, and popular. It features a 904L stainless steel case measuring 44 millimetres in diameter and 17.6 millimetres in thickness, capable of withstanding 3.1 tonnes of pressure. The crystal is 5.5 millimetres thick and dispenses with the magnifying cyclops lens. The case back is made of grade 5 titanium, the bezel features Rolex's patented Ring Lock system, the case is designed with a helium escape valve, and the bracelet features an extensible Glidelock system allowing the strap to be extended up to 20 millimetres. The watch houses a 3135 automatic winding movement, with the new model certified by the Superlative Chronometer certification, keeping daily errors within plus or minus two seconds. The bezel is a black Cerachrom ceramic insert with platinum-coated numerals and graduations, while the dial uses an easy-to-read Chromalight luminescence display with long-lasting blue emission material.
