Elegant and Noble: Appreciating the New Rolex Cellini Rose Gold Diamond-Set Watch

At the   2014 Baselworld,Rolexthe new Cellini collection was introduced. A classical, elegant exterior, precious metal materials, alligator leather straps, and traditional pin buckles have all drawn significant attention to this watch. At this year's Baselworld, Rolex released 4 new Cellini watches, and today we present one of the newly launched Cellini timepieces.

        The four Cellini models introduced at this watch fair are gem-set Cellini pieces, featuring a 39 mm 18 ct white gold or Everose gold case, with a choice of a single or double diamond-paved bezel. The double bezel variant consists of a diamond-set outer ring paired with a classic fluted bezel.

39 mm Everose gold case

        This model (reference: 50705RBR) is the Everose gold single-bezel diamond-set version paired with a champagne dial (listed as pink on the official Rolex website, though I honestly couldn't see it), featuring a sunray finish that accentuates the elongated hour markers.

Flared screw-down crown

        The crown on the Cellini is exquisite, featuring a flared winding crown with a polished finish and the Rolex crown emblem engraved on its tip.

Alligator leather strap with pin buckle

        The black alligator leather strap is fitted with a traditional pin buckle, beautifully crafted, mirror-polished and adorned with the Rolex crown motif in the centre.

Softly curved case profile

        The Everose gold case boasts graceful curves along its sides and a smoothly polished finish, exuding the distinct radiance of rose gold. The lugs are finely sculpted, compact and rounded.

Bezel set with 62 exquisite diamonds

        The bezel is set with 62 fine diamonds. Because the precious metal gem-set bezel is slender, the Cellini dial appears visual larger by comparison.

Champagne gold sunray dial

        Featuring a domed sapphire crystal, three-hand design, sword-shaped hour and minute hands, a champagne gold sunray dial, elongated applied hour markers, a pad-printed black 60 minute track and an applied Rolex crown emblem at 12 o'clock. Individual elements are simple, yet together they create a minimalist, noble and elegant style. It shares the dial design ethos of the previously released Cellini Dual Time.

Rolex calibre CAL.3132 self-winding movement

        The solid polished case back is so highly finished it can act as a mirror. Powered by the Rolex calibre CAL.3132 self-winding movement with bidirectional winding. Equipped with a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers to enhance magnetic and shock resistance. This robust and reliable movement is also utilised in the Explorer I.
