How to handle accuracy errors in mechanical and quartz watches?
Due to the effects of gravity, many owners of mechanical and quartz watches know that watches will always have some degree of error. So, what should you do when encountering timekeeping errors with mechanical and quartz watches? Let's take a look below!

1. If a quartz watch suddenly runs slow, it is very likely caused by insufficient battery power. You can send the watch to an authorised service centre to test the battery level.
2. Mechanical watches vary depending on the movement calibre and manufacturing quality; a slight daily error of 30 seconds is within the normal range.
3. If an automatic mechanical watch is subjected to very little physical activity, it may result in an insufficient power reserve. You can supplement the power by manually winding it, and then observe whether the fast or slow running persists.
4. Wear and tear of internal parts or a lack of oil in the movement can cause watch timekeeping errors. In this case, it needs to be sent to a professional service centre for maintenance.
5) If a watch experiences timekeeping errors under abnormal use (refer to watch maintenance and daily precautions), it must be sent to a designated service centre for professional inspection and adjustment to restore the watch to its normal error range.
How to use a mechanical watch correctly
1. Manual-winding watches require daily manual winding, while automatic watches feature an internal oscillating weight that uses the movement of the wrist to wind automatically. Automatic watches typically have a 40-hour power reserve.
2. If an automatic mechanical watch is not worn or activity levels are low, the power reserve will decrease; you can manually wind the watch to replenish its power reserve.
3. Whether it is a manual or automatic mechanical watch, if you do not use it frequently or do not wear it for a long period, you should wind it regularly to keep the movement running and maintain its optimal performance.
