What are the principles for maintaining women's watches?
Maintaining a women's watch essentially boils down to the following areas: exterior, regular attention to water resistance, movement, strap or bracelet, and battery. High-end women's watches particularly demand careful daily upkeep. Let us explore the five golden rules for women's watch maintenance!

Maintaining the exterior of women's watches
Do not allow women's watches to come into contact with solvents, mercury, cosmetic sprays, detergents, adhesives, paint, or camphor, as these can cause discoloration, deterioration, or damage to the case, strap or bracelet, and other components. Keep away from camphor substances, which have grease-dissolving properties that can easily break down the lubricants inside the watch movement, thereby reducing lubrication performance and affecting timekeeping accuracy.
Maintaining the movement of women's watches
1, avoid exposing women's watches to sudden temperature changes. Rapid thermal fluctuations will increase timekeeping errors. The mainspring inside a mechanical women's watch is prone to snapping under rapid temperature shifts, and severe impacts should also be avoided.
2, avoid immersion and moisture. Remove women's watches when washing, as magnetism can adversely affect timekeeping accuracy.
3, never store women's watches in the same drawer or box as face powder or similar cosmetics, as microscopic particles can infiltrate the watch mechanism through invisible gaps, contaminating the oils and impairing internal operations. Particular care must be taken to avoid placing women's watches in wardrobes containing camphor, as vaporised camphor can diffuse into the case, causing the movement oils to congeal and destroying their anti-rust and lubricating properties. This leaves components vulnerable to rust and wear, ultimately causing inaccurate timekeeping and shortening the lifespan of the watch.
4, women's watches must be regularly inspected, disassembled, cleaned, and re-lubricated—typically once every three years. For watches with poorer water resistance, the servicing intervals should be shorter.
Maintaining the strap or bracelet of women's watches
The length of a women's watch strap or bracelet should be adjusted reasonably for comfortable wear. An overly long strap or bracelet is not only susceptible to knocks during activity but can also cause the spring bars to deform or even break, compromising secure wear.
Ladies' watch care instructions
Magnetic fields
Avoid placing your watch on top of speakers or refrigerators, as they produce powerful magnetic fields.
Swimming in the sea
Always rinse your watch with fresh water after swimming.
Impacts
Avoid high temperatures and other impacts.
Locking the crown
Carefully screw down the crown to prevent water from entering the watch mechanism.
Cleaning
Use a toothbrush and soapy water to clean metal bracelets and all water-resistant cases, then dry with a soft cloth.
