What does an ETA movement actually mean?
ETA is the world's largest manufacturer of finished and unfinished movements. Below, we take a detailed look at the ETA movement together.

Introduction to ETA
What does ETA mean? As the cornerstone of Swatch, its history can be traced back to the late 18 century, with a watch factory established in 1793. In 1855, another factory dedicated to manufacturing ebauches (unfinished watch movements) was opened, which later took the name ETA.
As one of the world's largest manufacturers of watches and movements, its annual production exceeds one hundred million. ETA's main operations include: guaranteeing technical research for Swiss watches; developing large-scale production of components, movements, and complete watches at low costs; mastering all technologies for watches and production machinery; batch assembly of movements and watches; and ETA's own research and development.
Many renowned Swiss watches use ETA movements, such as Breitling, Fortis, Enicar, Titoni, and even Rolex has used ETA movements in the past. Meanwhile, watch brands that base their modifications on ETA movements include IWC, Oris, TAG Heuer, and Tudor, amongst others.
As one of the world's largest watch movement manufacturers, ETA possesses profound technical expertise and strength, covering virtually all watch complications. Having worn a watch powered by an ETA movement, what are your thoughts on ETA?
How is the Swiss ETA movement?
High-quality replica watches first and foremost have particularly high requirements for the movement, which is the only way to ensure the best cost-performance ratio for the watch. Swiss movements are currently the most popular on the market, and the reason they are used by many manufacturers is that their quality is truly excellent.
Swiss ETA movements, their blank movements are mostly supplied directly to major Swiss luxury watch brands, such as Longines, Titoni, and other commercial luxury watch brands. Whether it is their precision, power reserve, or anti-magnetic properties, they are all excellent. Nowadays, it is the era of fully automatic mechanical watches. A Swiss movement from production to finished product, which is the so-called ETA blank movement, has common models such as 2824, 2836, 2892, 7750, and so on.
So how can you tell if it is a Swiss movement?
1, next to the movement vibrator, there is an engraved flower with the ETA logo, which can be seen very clearly with a magnifying glass.
2, check whether it supports bidirectional automatic winding.
3, the bolt in the middle of the oscillating weight is gear-shaped, so it can wind automatically in both directions without affecting the wear and tear caused by mechanical friction.
If all three of the above points are fine, then it should be an ETA movement.
