What is the accuracy error of a Rolex mechanical watch?
Rolex represents ultimate reliability, but no matter how excellent the craftsmanship of a watch is, errors will still occur! So, what is the accuracy error of a Rolex mechanical watch?

Rolex mechanical watch accuracy error
Rolex watches allow for a daily error of about 30 seconds; an error within this range can be considered " accurate ". This is based on the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (C.O.S.C.) certification system. Even the stricter Geneva Seal allows for a tolerance of losing 3 seconds or gaining 2 seconds per day. As long as it is within the error range of about 30 seconds, it is considered qualified. If it exceeds this error, it is a malfunction, and we must first have it tested and diagnosed with a mechanical watch timer.
The accuracy of a mechanical watch depends on the stability of the frequency generated by its balance spring. The watch movement is affected by many internal and external factors, causing the balance spring to vibrate harmonically, which leads to errors. Careful adjustment can relatively reduce these errors, but they cannot be completely eliminated. Therefore, as long as the watch's timekeeping meets its specified accuracy index, it is a qualified watch. You do not need to adjust the watch frequently; once it is adjusted, it usually only requires fine-tuning.
How to adjust a Rolex mechanical watch?
Time period selection for adjusting a Rolex mechanical watch: Please do not adjust the date between 22 o'clock and 2 o'clock (or 20 o'clock and 4 o'clock for some watches), as this can easily cause damage to the watch and incorrect calendar jumping. In other words, for mechanical watches, the afternoon laboratory suggests that everyone tries to adjust the time during the day. Different Rolex watch models have different adjustment methods, but when adjusting a watch with a calendar function, the AM and PM factors must be considered. To extend the lifespan of the watch, many watches use a slow-jumping method, which means the date changes gradually around midnight. It is generally normal for the transition to complete before 2 AM, and for some watches, it may take until 4 AM to complete.
It is clear that errors in Rolex watches are unavoidable. What we can do is to minimise this error as much as possible based on the potential variance, making it more perfect and precise.
