How to set the time on a Tudor watch?
Tudor is a subsidiary brand of the renowned Swiss watchmaker Rolex, bringing Rolex quality to everyday wearers. As a result, people are very fond of them! So how do you set the time on a Tudor watch? Let me show you how!
Method for setting the time on a Tudor watch
The method for setting the time on Tudor watches is basically the same. Pull the crown out by one click to adjust the date and week; generally, turning the crown upwards adjusts the date, and turning it downwards adjusts the week. Pulling it out by a second click allows you to adjust the time. Always turn the hands clockwise when setting the watch. To ensure greater accuracy for the date and time, it is generally recommended to set the date and week to the previous day and then rotate the hands clockwise until the date and week automatically flip to the current date (which corresponds to midnight), before adjusting to the exact time.
For example, if the current time is 2009 11 27, Friday, 2 PM, we should first set the calendar to 11 26, Thursday. Then, advance the hands so they automatically flip to 11 27, Friday. Next, rotate the hands through one full revolution and align them to the two o'clock position. This is done to ensure the calendar is synchronised with the 24-hour format rather than the 12-hour format, otherwise the date might change at noon instead. (It should change at midnight). For Tudor watches with good water resistance, the crown is screw-down; unscrew it like a bolt before adjusting the time.
