How to set the time on a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch?
Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the largest watch manufactures in the world and one of those with the richest watchmaking heritage. Through over 170 years of development, Jaeger-LeCoultre holds more than 200 watch design patents, making a huge contribution to the development of the watchmaking industry. When using Jaeger-LeCoultre watches, you may encounter the issue of inaccurate timekeeping. Below I will show you how to calibrate the time on a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch!

Jaeger-LeCoultre watch time setting method
Standard watches generally have 2 adjustment methods: fast adjustment and slow adjustment. When the watch crown is pulled out, there are 2 positions.
The first position is for quick adjustment; rotate the crown, and for every full rotation of the minute hand, the date advances by one day.
The second position is for slow adjustment; rotate the crown, and the hour hand must turn 2 full rotations for the date to advance by one day.
Certain quartz watches or lower-grade mechanical watches feature only a single slow-adjustment position, which requires a little more time to set.
Generally speaking, you should adjust forwards with the date; 1, 2, 3 it is best not to adjust backwards against the date.
Most importantly: do not quick-set the date between 21 PM and 4 AM. It is best to make adjustments during the day. Particularly around midnight, when the date mechanism begins to engage and change the calendar, altering the date can very easily cause damage to the calendar mechanism!
Precautions for using Jaeger-LeCoultre watches
1, avoid bringing the watch close to magnetic clasps
Regardless of the model or high value, Noob factory watches are vulnerable to magnetic fields. For mechanical watches, the movement is the most susceptible to magnetic interference; while quartz watches do not have as many steel components, they are still significantly affected. Regarding this issue, men in particular should note not to place their watches near belt buckles, while women should keep their watches away from magnetic clasps on handbags.
2, wearing the watch while bathing or swimming
Although some replica watches from the N-factory can be worn while diving, they are in the minority. Standard watches can be worn while washing, but they cannot withstand prolonged immersion. Therefore, please do not wear your watch while swimming or bathing, and certainly do not take it into a sauna; the high temperatures will cause the watch to oxidise.
3, never taking it to a professional service centre for maintenance.
Watches are items subject to wear and tear. To ensure a longer lifespan, they must be taken to after-sales service for professional maintenance and servicing. As for how often maintenance is required, please consult the after-sales staff.
4, failing to keep the watch wound or remove the battery when it is not in use.
When you do not wish to wear your watch, remember to wind it fully or remove the battery. For mechanical watches, it is also necessary to clean and oil the interior to prevent the internal lubricants from drying out. For watches that have not been worn for a long time, perform the aforementioned maintenance monthly to ensure the watch maintains its operational performance when you do wear it.
