Watch lug knowledge sharing
The protruding part of the case, connected to the strap via spring bars, is a generic term used by watch industry professionals for the crucial component linking the strap and case. They are usually divided into drilled lugs and non-drilled lugs.
Drilled lugs
Means that the small holes fixing the spring bars on the lugs are through-holes, and the small holes and the spring bars inside them can be seen from the outside of the lugs.
Non-drilled lugs
Opposite to drilled lugs, the small holes on the lugs are semi-transparent, and the small holes can only be seen from the inside of the lugs, not from the outside.
