What types of watch straps are there?
What types of watch straps are there? Let us take a look below.

A watch strap is a general term for the part that effectively secures the watch to the wrist.
Classification of watch straps
Bracelet
A link bracelet formed by connecting flat small pieces with spring bars, typically made from alloys or ceramics such as stainless steel, gold-plated, bicolour, titanium, platinum, and others.
Rubber strap
A strap made from rubber, which is a soft and smooth material that sits very comfortably on the wrist. Because rubber is completely waterproof, it is frequently used on diving and sports watches.
Leather strap
A strap made from animal leather, such as pigskin, calfskin, caiman alligator, Mississippi alligator, Nile monitor lizard, python, ostrich, and others.
Milanese mesh bracelet
Canvas strap
Fabric strap woven from textile fabrics, cloth, and cotton-linen materials.
Strap maintenance
Watch straps, especially genuine leather straps, require routine maintenance. The basic methods are as follows:
1. Avoid contact with water and moisture to prevent mildew and distortion.
2. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight to prevent fading.
3. Avoid contact with greasy substances and cosmetics to prevent deterioration.
4. If the strap accidentally gets wet, allow it to air-dry before wearing it again.
5. Do not wear the watch while sleeping, allowing the strap to rest.
6. Leather straps become much stiffer in winter, so avoid reverse-bending them, which damages the leather.
