How to Deal with Water Ingress in a Watch
Virtually allWorld-class luxury watchesWatches are generally water-resistant, and some can even withstand depths of many metres without issue. Certain functional watches are also suitable for diving, though this is not entirely foolproof. In reality, watches may suffer from ageing after a period of use, which makes them susceptible to water ingress. If we are not careful during daily wear, water can also enter the watch. So, how should we handle a watch in this situation?

Normally, the watches we purchaseReplica Rolex Submarinerhave all undergone water-resistance treatment, so unless they are intentionally submerged, serious water ingress is rare. However, if a watch has been worn for a long time or has sustained knocks, the exterior can become severely worn. In such cases, even a small amount of moisture can lead to visible condensation on the inside of the crystal. It is best not to attempt to dry it yourself; using a hairdryer is a poor choice, and you should certainly avoid leaving it in direct sunlight.
If you suspect your watch has taken in water, or if water has already entered, it is best to have it serviced promptly. Professional brands usually offer free repair services for water ingress, though charges may apply if the warranty period has expired. Many watches feature gaskets that are prone to ageing, so it is advisable to have them replaced regularly. When performing watch maintenance every few years, pay special attention to replacing these gaskets to prevent future water ingress.
