Men on the left, women on the right: is there a basis for wearing a watch this way?

With the development of the times, many things have undergone tremendous changes. Watches, which were originally just tools to help people keep time, are now not only practical tools but also indispensable accessories. Moreover, there is a wide variety of watch styles, and different watches worn on different women's wrists can highlight different tastes and temperaments. So, which wrist is more appropriate for women to wear a watch on? There has always been a lot of debate about which wrist to wear it on.
In our concepts, the idea of men on the left and women on the right has existed in our thinking since who knows when. In traditional aesthetics, we pay attention to symmetry. In the twenties and thirties of the 20th century, women generally wore watches on their left hands, while their right hands would wear accessories such as bracelets.
Physical and aesthetic explanation
Women wearing a watch on the left wrist is more attractive, which is analysed from the perspective of physical and aesthetic studies.
1. High-end women's watches are generally mechanical, and the mechanical adjustment crown is usually on the right side. This is to make it more convenient for women to adjust the time with their right hand, and it also looks more natural and aesthetically pleasing, better reflecting a woman's elegant temperament. Women wearing a watch on the left wrist can also better reflectwomen's watchescharacteristics, with a stylish and gorgeous exterior, yet maintaining a restrained, subtle, and gentle style.
2, the notion of 'men on the left, women on the right' when wearing a watch actually lacks any real basis; it is simply a matter of modern mindsets and customary practice. Furthermore, in ancient times, the left side was considered solemn, so it is quite common for ladies' watches to be worn on the left wrist as well.
Habit dictates left or right
Of course, most people are influenced to some degree by the concept of 'men on the left, women on the right', which seems akin to reading palmistry. In truth, whichever wrist you wear your watch on comes down entirely to personal preference and comfortable habit.
