Omega enters the eyewear market: will you buy into it?

　　On 2016 8 24, the renowned Swiss watch brand Omega began its foray into the eyewear market. What kind of revolution and innovation will this groundbreaking leap bring? Omega has partnered with the Italian global eyewear leader, the MARCOLIN Group, to launch the brand's first collection of sunglasses for men and women, marking Omega's entry into an unprecedented new field.

　　Omega's first summer eyewear collection will be available exclusively in Omega boutiques worldwide from 2016 8. Each pair of glasses will be offered in two sizes, and each style will be available in two different colours for customers to choose from.

　　The newly launched sunglasses collection is inspired by Omega's long heritage and extraordinary design. The details of the glasses incorporate numerous aesthetic concepts and craftsmanship techniques, making every pair of Omega sunglasses unique and full of personality. Upon closer inspection, one can find many unique Omega design elements: floral patterns derived from Omega's fine jewellery, the iconic claws fromOmega Constellation series watchesthe iconic claws, flexible hinges shaped like watch crowns, a glossy black finish reminiscent of the Omega Speedmaster 'Dark Side of the Moon' ceramic watch, and metal-injected frames that mirror the quality of stainless steel.

　　Omega has integrated its spirit of attention to detail into the design of its sunglasses. The frames are crafted from premium metal materials covered in acetate, fitted with high-quality scratch-resistant lenses that have undergone meticulous anti-reflective treatment. The lenses are also engraved with the Omega brand name and classic logo. Furthermore, these brand identifiers can be seen on other parts of the glasses, such as the nose pads and the inner tips of the temples.

　　Each pair of Omega sunglasses comes with a hard case made of zebrawood, echoing the wood used in the interior decoration of Omega boutiques.
