How many turns should I wind a Tissot mechanical watch?
Tissot is one of the most popular and accessible watch brands, and many friends enjoy Tissot mechanical watches. However, we all know that mechanical watches require winding to provide power for timekeeping. So, how many turns should you wind a Tissot mechanical watch?
1, for a mechanical watch, rotate the crown clockwise 25 times. Afterwards, as long as you wear it for a sufficient amount of time each day, the rotor will continuously replenish energy to the mainspring, keeping the automatic watch running normally. Remember, winding it about 30 times is sufficient; overwinding will release the energy.
2, as long as the wearer's activity level is sufficient, try to avoid manual winding. Manual winding requires the crown to drive many automatic gears simultaneously, which can easily cause wear on the automatic components and lead to unnecessary maintenance costs.
3, the power source for an automatic mechanical watch comes from the movement of the wearer's wrist, which winds the mainspring. A fully wound automatic mechanical watch can run for approximately 36 hours. If worn normally every day, it can operate for about 15 hours. If it is not worn for longer than this or if there is insufficient movement (low activity level of the wearer), the watch will stop. You should fully wind the watch before wearing it again.
