　　Lot 93 of this auction was the one-of-a-kind Ref.6062 "Bao Dai". Following eight minutes of competitive bidding, this timepiece finally hammered for 5,066,000 CHF (approximately 3,508 million RMB), setting a new record for a Rolex watch at auction.

　　After months of anticipation, watch enthusiasts from around the world gathered together in the auction hall of the Hôtel La Réserve in Geneva to witness this historic moment.

　　Ref.6062 "Bao Dai" is considered by the collecting community to be one of the most valuable and desirable Rolex watches to acquire. This is a triple calendar moonphase gold watch, and there are only three pieces in total of the same version (black dial, diamond hour markers) of the Ref.6062, while the "Bao Dai" is the only one with diamonds set at the even-numbered hour markers.

　　The original owner of this timepiece was Bao Dai, the last emperor of Vietnam (reign title Bao Dai). When this watch appeared on the market in 2002, Phillips sold it for a record-breaking sum, making it (at the time) the highest-priced Rolex timepiece ever sold at auction. The auction price back then was 235,000 USD; in other words, its value multiplied by 21 after 15 years.
