How much does it cost to repair a watch?
It is very frustrating when a beloved watch malfunctions; after all, buying a watch you love is no small feat, and the time and money invested are significant. Moreover, because watches are so delicate and refined, repairing them is not easy. So, how much does it cost to repair a watch? Let Watch Home guide you through it.

Firstly, the cost varies depending on the damage, primarily depending on where the fault lies. If the watch is simply magnetised, causing it to keep time inaccurately, such repairs are usually free. If the watch is inaccurate because the movement has not been serviced for a long time, causing the oil to dry up, you need to know the movement model, as the cost for servicing different movements varies. If a quartz watch costing tens of thousands is inaccurate, it may be due to a dead battery; the repair only requires a new battery, which is quite inexpensive.
The cleaning fee for an ordinary watch is 770 yuan; for a gold watch, the cleaning fee is over 800 yuan. According to the regulations of the Watch Industry Association, for watches costing over ten thousand yuan, in addition to the cleaning fee, a one-thousandth inspection fee is charged based on the grade and price of the Tissot watch. For mechanical watches that are not worn long-term, they should be wound regularly to keep the movement running. As for quartz watches, the battery life is generally 1 to 2 years; the battery should be replaced regularly, and the seal should also be replaced when changing the battery.
