How to remove odours from genuine leather watch straps
Genuine leather watch straps are very popular today, primarily because they are comfortable, soft, and fit well. Being made of genuine leather, they avoid the risk of metal straps leaching substances that may cause skin allergies. Furthermore, they add a touch of class, making them a preferred choice for those who value quality.

How to remove odours from watches
When a strap develops an odour, use a toothbrush with a little soapy water to quickly scrub the dirty areas, then wipe with a slightly damp cloth. To prevent soapy water from soaking into the leather, the entire process should be completed within 20 seconds. Additionally, applying leather oil can protect the strap and ensure more thorough maintenance.
Stiff leather straps. When a leather strap has been worn for a long time, besides developing an odour, hardening is a common issue. Frequent exposure to humid environments accelerates hardening, and sweat can erode the leather, causing it to deform, harden, or even crack, which may lead to the watch being lost or damaged. Therefore, in addition to regular maintenance, it is essential not to bend the strap when it becomes stiff and to replace it when necessary. It is recommended to wear leather straps in winter; since sweat is common in summer or after exercise, it is best to avoid wearing them then. If you must wear them, ensure the sweat is wiped off before putting the watch on to extend the life of the strap.
