What are the methods for wearing and maintaining a watch? If you want to extend the lifespan of your watch, let us learn about them below.

Methods for wearing and maintaining a watch
Like undergarments, the watch case or strap/bracelet is in direct contact with human skin. If dirt is not cleaned off, it can easily soil clothing cuffs and cause skin itching or allergic reactions. Therefore, they must be kept clean regularly. When you take off your watch, gently wipe the watch body, strap/bracelet and clasp with a soft cloth to extend the lifespan of your watch.
(1) When wearing a watch, perspiration on your hand can corrode the case. All-steel cases have better corrosion resistance due to their nickel-chromium alloy composition, whereas base-metal cases are copper and corrode easily when exposed to sweat for long periods. You should regularly wipe off sweat with a soft cloth or use a plastic watch protector pad to prevent sweat corrosion.
(2) Do not open the case back casually, to prevent dust from entering the movement and affecting the normal operation of the watch.
(3) Do not place the watch in a wardrobe containing mothballs, to prevent the watch oil from deteriorating.
(4) Do not place your watch on power amplifiers, speakers, or televisions to avoid magnetisation.
(5) Watches stored for long periods without being worn should be wound once a month. For automatic mechanical watches, gently swing them back and forth for a few minutes or wear them on your wrist for a while to automatically wind the mainspring. This prevents the components from remaining stationary for too long and ensures the operating performance of the movement.
(6) If an ordinary mechanical watch gets damp, you can press dry cotton wool onto the watch and then bake it with a 40-watt light bulb for 5 minutes. All the moisture inside the watch will be evaporated.
If a quartz electronic watch gets damp, you can take several small pieces of calcium chloride and wrap them in gauze. Then, open the electronic watch case back, and place the wrapped calcium chloride together with the electronic watch into an airtight plastic bag or glass bottle, and seal it. Generally, the moisture can be removed in about 3 hours, restoring the electronic watch to normal. For severely damp watches, the moisture absorption time can be appropriately extended.
Precautions for watch usage
1, avoid bringing the watch close to magnetic clasps
Regardless of the model or high value, Noob factory watches are vulnerable to magnetic fields. For mechanical watches, the movement is the most susceptible to magnetic interference; while quartz watches do not have as many steel components, they are still significantly affected. Regarding this issue, men in particular should note not to place their watches near belt buckles, while women should keep their watches away from magnetic clasps on handbags.
2, wearing the watch while bathing or swimming
Although some replica watches from the N-factory can be worn while diving, they are in the minority. Standard watches can be worn while washing, but they cannot withstand prolonged immersion. Therefore, please do not wear your watch while swimming or bathing, and certainly do not take it into a sauna; the high temperatures will cause the watch to oxidise.
3, never taking it to a professional service centre for maintenance.
Watches are items subject to wear and tear. To ensure a longer lifespan, they must be taken to after-sales service for professional maintenance and servicing. As for how often maintenance is required, please consult the after-sales staff.
