Lighting up a romantic winter, Cartier interprets with passion

　　(1/12/2016, Shanghai) French luxury brand Cartier held its 2016 Christmas lighting ceremony at the Shanghai fashion landmark Hang Lung Plaza. Accompanied by melodic and joyful Christmas carols, Mr. Renaud Litré, CEO of Cartier China, Mr. Derek Pang, Deputy General Manager of Hang Lung Plaza Shanghai, and the famous actress Miss Fan Bingbing appeared on site to light up the French-style Cartier Christmas tree, heralding the romantic movement of the 2016 Christmas season. This was also the first time Cartier had held a large-scale lighting ceremony in China.

　　The Cartier Christmas tree situated in front of Hang Lung Plaza in Shanghai stands 15 metres tall and covers an area of over 200 square metres. The brand's iconic Cartier double C logo and red-and-white gift boxes are wrapped around the pine branches as they spiral upwards. Inspired by the white facades of Cartier's three flagship stores in Paris, New York, and London, the base of the tree features windows through which one can faintly glimpse the silhouette of a panther or the outlines of various Cartier creations. With flickering street lamps, Parisian-style benches, and classic Cartier gift boxes, the rich red and pristine white hues complement each other, winding around the lush green Christmas tree. Cartier has created a romantic and beautiful Christmas night scene for Shanghai. To better celebrate the season, the ingenious Cartier has also specially installed two electronic Advent Calendars under the tree. From day 1 to day 28 of month 12, they will provide festive surprises to consumers every day without repetition. Simply select the corresponding date on the screen and gently tap the Cartier red box to receive a small Christmas surprise, which can also be forwarded to friends, family, or loved ones to share Christmas blessings. On Christmas Eve, 24/12, there will even be a Santa Claus on-site to interact and take photos with guests, bringing even more unexpected Christmas treats to visitors in Shanghai.
