The 6th generation arrives: The allure of the Oris Air Racing Limited Edition series
Imagine this scene: In the scorching heat of the Nevada desert in the United States, a group of fearless pilots navigate stunt planes at top speeds just a dozen metres off the ground, thrillingly and nimbly weaving past pylon markers. This is the real-life action unfolding at the annual Reno Championship Air Races in the US.

One of the champion pilots isOris watchbrand ambassador and Swiss Aerobatic Team member, Don Vito Wyprächtiger. In 2013, he became the first non-American pilot to win the Formula One class title in the 50-year history of the event.

The Reno Air Races and Don Vito serve as the source of inspiration for the Oris Air Racing series of watches. Since Don Vito made his debut in 2010, he has achieved podium finishes in the Formula One category for 6 consecutive races (the 2011 event was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances). Oris has continually released 6 limited-edition watches to honour and commemorate the feats of this Swiss aerobatic pioneer.

After Don Vito secured second place in the Formula One category at this year's race, Oris promptly launched the 6th-generation Air Racing watch, limited to 1,000 pieces worldwide.

The design prototype for the Air Race Limited Edition 6 generation is the flagship model of Oris Aviation collection - the Big Crown ProPilot Day Date. Featuring a coin-edge bezel reminiscent of aircraft turbine engines, striking bright yellow accents, and a strap echoing the texture of aircraft seatbelts, its powerful aviation character makes an unforgettable first impression.

The dial of the 6 generation features a black base with white Arabic numeral indices and hands, coated with Super-LumiNova luminescence. This ensures the wearer can read the time quickly and accurately in any light conditions. The tip of the seconds hand and the day-date markings feature eye-catching yellow, inspired by the airspeed indicator of aerobatic aircraft. Yellow is also one of the most easily recognised colours by the human eye in low-light environments.

The 45mm case is crafted from stainless steel with a matte gunmetal grey PVD coating. The screwed case back, also featuring coin-edge detailing around its perimeter, is engraved with the silhouette of Don Vito's aerobatic aircraft, the Scarlet Screamer, alongside the timepiece's limited edition serial number. The Air Race 6 generation is equipped with the Oris752 automatic mechanical movement, offering a practical day-date display.
The recommended retail price for the Air Race 6 generation is RMB 13,800, with 5 pieces currently available in the Chinese market.
