Blancpain launches the Bathyscaphe Flyback Chronograph 'Ocean Commitment' 2016 new limited edition in Sydney
Blancpain has always been committed to the preservation and protection of the world's oceans. In 2014, Blancpain consolidated its long-term commitment to ocean conservation under the 'Ocean Commitment' banner and released its first limited edition of 250 pieces. Today, Blancpain continues to uphold its proud and persistent diving tradition by launchingBlancpain Fifty Fathoms CollectionBathyscaphe Flyback Chronograph 'Ocean Commitment' 2016 new limited edition.

Recently, the new Blancpain 'Ocean Commitment' limited edition watch—the Bathyscaphe Flyback Chronograph 'Ocean Commitment' 2016 new limited edition—was launched in Australia. Blancpain Global Vice President and Head of Marketing Alain Delamuraz and brand friend, marine biologist and renowned underwater photographer Laurent Ballesta, co-hosted the event, welcoming media representatives aboard a yacht to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sydney Harbour. After the launch, guests enjoyed dinner and refreshments while cruising the harbour at night. On deck, a cocktail bar and a live DJ created an immersive atmosphere, with drones capturing precious moments from the air.

At the launch, Mr Alain Delamuraz, Blancpain Global Vice President, stated: 'No single organisation can achieve the necessary change on its own; therefore, Blancpain works with some of the best ocean ambassadors, taking a long-term investment approach to achieve change.' He continued: 'The most important part of all Blancpain 'Ocean Commitment' projects is that they achieve real results. For example, the scientific research, unique economic arguments, and stunning underwater footage brought back by the expeditions supported by Blancpain have prompted world leaders to include 3 million square kilometres of ocean in protected areas.' Blancpain believes that contributions to environmental protection depend on public awareness; therefore, the brand has been committed to raising awareness through supporting major scientific research, ocean exploration, underwater photography, environmental forums, public exhibitions, major publications, and a dedicated website. Guests expressed their unanimous respect and appreciation for Blancpain's persistent dedication to ocean conservation.

During the evening, renowned marine biologist and Blancpain partner Laurent Ballesta shared the exciting diving adventures he experienced during the 'Gombessa Projects' and showcased his underwater photography, which captivated all the guests. Furthermore, he vividly expressed his firm belief: 'To raise public awareness of the richness, fragility, and importance of the ocean, knowledge and dreams are our two most important values today. To survive, we urgently need food, but hope is equally indispensable. My expeditions and other initiatives help achieve this to some extent, as does my watch; every time I check the time, it precisely reminds me of this.'

At the press conference, guests also had the opportunity to view the new limited edition Bathyscaphe Flyback Chronograph 'Ocean Commitment' 2016 in its entirety, admiring the first-ever all-blue ceramic case crafted by Blancpain. For every watch sold, Blancpain will donate 1,000 Euros to support scientific expeditions. The sale of the 250 limited edition watches will raise 25 hundred thousand Euros to support the ongoing Blancpain 'Ocean Commitment' charitable initiatives.
