How to identify a fake Tissot Le Locle watch
The Tissot Le Locle Power Reserve series is available with both leather straps and stainless steel bracelets, featuring Roman numeral indices in black or ivory. Its design rekindles Tissot's infinite pursuit of automatic movements and understated elegance. Below, Watch Home will introduce how to distinguish a genuine Tissot Le Locle watch from a fake!
Appearance
Genuine Le Locle front: All printed fonts are clear, the patterns have distinct edges, and the tip of the second hand is rice-shaped and relatively rounded. Fake Le Locle front: The patterns are often blurry, and the edges and layers are not distinct. The print quality is low, and the fonts in the design often appear incomplete. The tip of the second hand is teardrop-shaped and relatively sharp; this 2 feature is characteristic of older models or non-original second hands.
Flowers on the case back: This relates to the batch number; both merged and separated designs are genuine. Refer to the image above: serial numbers starting with 12HA are merged, while those starting with 12BL are separated. 12HA is commonly seen in domestic retail stores, while 12BL is common for overseas personal shopping services.
Note that this is the watch number, not the model number. These 2 items are written on the watch; only a few special editions lack them (though these special editions are easier to verify, as mentioned below). This number is unique and will not be repeated, but it is different for replica watches—you could say that every one you buy has the same number, or no number at all. Therefore, please pay attention to this when buying a watch; if all the watches in a shop have the same number, there is undoubtedly a major problem.
Movement
Mainly understand the movement. Most Tissot watches use ETA movements; however, ETA movements are sold on the market as generic movements, such as 2824-2 2836-2 2834-2. Furthermore, replicas of these 3 movements are very sophisticated and difficult to distinguish by appearance, so watches using these movements have many replicas; try to avoid them. However, some watches with special functions are not replicated because the movements are unavailable, making them impossible to copy; even if they are replicated, the appearance might be the same, but the functions will differ.
