Some friends who have just purchased a Longines moonphase watch may still have some questions about its operation. Next, I will bring you the user manual for the Longines moonphase watch, so let us take a look together.
How to Adjust a Longines Moonphase Watch
Watches are usually stopped when leaving the factory, so we need to adjust and calibrate them after purchasing. The adjustment steps are: start the watch; set the hands and calibrate the time; adjust the calendar. Below we will introduce them specifically.
1. Starting the watch: remove the safety guard from the watch, then push in the crown, and the watch will start running.
2. Setting the hands and calibrating the time: when the seconds hand reaches 12, immediately press and hold the top right pusher so that the seconds hand stops at 12, and turn the crown backwards to make the hour and minute hands move clockwise. Around 10, the hand ring begins to move slowly (if it does not move, you need to advance it by another 12 hours), and around 12, the calendar ring will automatically turn to the next date. Continue to advance the hands clockwise, and the dial begins to move slowly by about 3, and the day wheel will automatically advance by one count (since the day of the week is displayed in two languages, it needs to be cycled twice).
3. Adjusting the calendar: press and hold the bottom right pusher (while the watch is still running normally), rotate the crown forwards to quickly change the date. After reaching the desired date, rotate the crown backwards to quickly change the day of the week (which includes both Chinese and English), and after adjusting to the desired day, stop rotating and push the crown in until it is flush against the case.

Longines Moonphase Watch Instructions for Use
The crown can be set to three different positions (see figure above), offering the following functions:
1: Crown pressed against the case position (a):
This is the winding position for the watch: when worn on the wrist, the natural movement of your wrist automatically winds your Longines watch, with a power reserve of up to 42 hours. If the watch is not worn for a few days, you will need to wind it manually.
2: Pull the crown out halfway to position (b)
Date and month adjustment: pull the crown out to position (b), rotate the crown backwards to change the date and month. When the month has fewer than 31 days, the date needs to be adjusted at the end of the month.
Moonphase adjustment: before changing the moonphase, you must determine the date. After consulting the calendar for the correct information, rotate the crown forwards. Once the adjustment is complete, push the crown back to position (a).
When the watch hands are positioned between 7 in the evening and 6 in the morning (7pm~6am), never adjust the day, month, date or moonphase to avoid damaging the movement.
3: Crown pulled all the way out to position (c)
This is the crown position for adjusting the time and stopping the seconds: pull the crown outwards, the seconds hand will stop, and you can turn the crown backwards to set the time. Once the correct time is set, push the crown back in flush against the case.
