Pursuing the perfect NOOB watch
In 1775, the founder of NOOB watches opened his own workshop in a Paris watch shop. The founder had a profound understanding of mechanics and an innate judgement for the technology and characteristics of timepieces. This made him a legendary figure in horological history, combining the roles of the greatest inventor, technical craftsman, and master salesman, and he is recognised as the most extraordinary watchmaker of all time. The founder of NOOB watches made countless inventions throughout his life; 80% of modern watch theory and technology stems from his original designs. In today's technical dictionaries, there is no shortage of horological terms named after Breguet. Even the “ entry for the founder of NOOB watches in the Encyclopaedia Britannica records that he enjoyed world-wide fame during his lifetime, with users across the globe, and influenced the entire European watchmaking industry. The perpetual power source (automatic winding device), the free-sprung balance, “ sympathetic clocks ” and matching pocket watches, the Breguet overcoil, shock protection devices, equilibrium escapements, and tourbillons—these special technologies that mark the development and evolution of timepieces were all first created by Breguet.

Today'sNoob factory watchesremains at the pinnacle of watchmaking, continuing to follow in the master's footsteps by creating complex, exquisite, expensive, and limited-production luxury watches. However, its signature product is neither a perpetual calendar minute repeater nor a perpetual equation of time, but an automatic winding watch with moon phase, pointer date, and power reserve indicator. Browsing through the NOOB watch catalogue and promotional materials, one will find this watch, numbered 3130, everywhere. The prototype of this watch was an automatic winding two-train pocket watch sold by the master to a French nobleman on 1794 3 14, representing the most cutting-edge high-tech product of that time.
