    For many years, IWC Schaffhausen's Pilot's Watches have been widely popular. These timepieces embody a pioneering spirit, immense courage, and boldness. IWC Schaffhausen took flight in 2012 and, building on that success, has re-launched the Pilot's Watch Father and Son collection. The Big Pilot's Watch chosen by the father features a power reserve and date display, with a case diameter of 46 mm, making it larger than similar watches. In terms of watchmaking, this timepiece also breaks with tradition, housing an automatic movement calibre 51111, featuring a spring-mounted rotor and the Pellaton automatic winding system, with a power reserve of up to 168 hours. The mainspring has a longer power reserve, but the movement stops automatically every seven days to maintain a high level of precision.

    The son's model is equipped with a smaller version, featuring a 39 mm case and an automatic movement calibre 30110, which is technically identical to the Pilot's Watch Mark XVI. This high-performance timepiece offers a 42-hour power reserve, as well as time and date displays. The son's model is water-resistant to 6 bar and is securely fitted with a crystal capable of withstanding sudden drops in air pressure, making it a reliable daily companion for the wearer. Even though the technical specifications of the two models differ, their similarities are evident. Both watches feature stainless steel cases, uniquely designed crowns, and black riveted alligator leather straps. The hands are finished with black edges, and their shape is reminiscent of a propeller. The inner surfaces are coated with green luminescence to ensure clear time reading on the rhodium-plated dial. The Big Pilot's Watch is fitted with a folding clasp, while the Pilot's Watch Mark XVI comes with a standard pin buckle, or an optional folding clasp for an additional fee.
