Vintage watch showcases top craftsmanship: Montblanc 1858 collection bronze watch
Montblancprofessional watchmaking craftsmanship can be traced back to 1858 AD, when the Minerva manufacture was established in Villeret, Switzerland. From its inception, the manufacture became one of the most prestigious in Switzerland, possessing the expertise and craftsmanship to create accurate timekeeping. Since 2007, Montblanc has been dedicated to carrying forward the top watchmaking spirit of watch functions, mechanical craftsmanship, and design aesthetics from Minerva's precious heritage. Through continuous efforts, Montblanc has crafted watches imbued with a heritage spirit in a modern style. The new Montblanc 1858 collection bronze watch reinterprets the well-known Minerva military chronograph from the 1930s, recording the passage of time with unique design and exceptional mechanical structure, while continuing this beautiful vintage heritage journey.

First time using bronze material: vintage fashion sparks a trend
The vintage elegance of the Montblanc 1858 collection becomes even more stylish with the addition of bronze. This is the first time Montblanc has used bronze in its watch collections, combining Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship with a classic material from watchmaking history to authentically recreate the military style of the 1930s. The warm hue of bronze complements the vintage design of the dial and strap, making the overall design more consistently emit a charming vintage elegance. Furthermore, Montblanc has broken the mold this time by adopting a mixed design of bronze paired with stainless steel in two of its watches, creating a two-tone, dual-material texture that exudes a unique classical atmosphere, while also being extremely attractive in price.
The Montblanc 1858 collection bronze watch captures the design features of Minerva chronographs from the 1930s, including: cloisonné enamel decorated large cathedral hands (coated with beige Super-LumiNova luminescence), luminescent Arabic numeral hour markers, a vintage-styled crown, and a classic railway minute track. These elements greatly enrich the visual aesthetics of the dial. Other vintage designs include: the central Montblanc brand logo and typeface in the style of the 1930s, along with new cognac calfskin and alligator leather straps handcrafted by artisans at the brand's Florence leather workshop, giving the leather straps a beautiful aged texture.

Montblanc 1858 collection tachymeter chronograph limited edition
The Montblanc 1858 collection tachymeter chronograph limited edition exudes a perfect vintage atmosphere from the case design to the movement, strap, and dial details. This watch features a vintage champagne sunburst dial, paired with the bronze hue of the case. The colour and polishing treatment of the watch give the entire piece a monochromatic and single-material visual effect, while highlighting the watch's size and various design details, such as: traditional cathedral hands and Arabic numeral hour markers with beige Super-LumiNova luminescence, which not only enhance the watch's vintage style but also provide good nighttime legibility. This limited edition watch features a bronze case with a diameter of 44mm, paired with a bronze-coloured hypoallergenic titanium-coated case back, and an increased thickness polished bezel. Other features include: a champagne cognac-coloured alligator leather strap crafted by the brand's Florence leather workshop, and a bronze-plated pin buckle, making the overall design more harmonious and complete.

The watch is equipped with the traditional manual-winding monopusher chronograph movement MB M 16.29, featuring a column wheel, horizontal clutch, V-shaped bridge, large screw balance wheel, a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz), and a 50-hour power reserve. This chronograph movement is handcrafted by Montblanc's manufacture in Villeret, allowing this peerlessly beautiful movement to be admired through a special surface finish.

The MB M16.29 movement adopts a large 'pocket watch' style design, inspired by the 1930 movement dedicated to pocket watches and wristwatches from 17.29. This new movement uses components of almost the exact same shape as the 17.29 movement, but employs different surface finishes, such as inner angles, Côtes de Genève, and circular graining. The MB M16.29 movement also adopts rose-gold-plated components for the first time, with the new appearance complementing the watch's bronze material and vintage charm, while also elevating the watch's texture. Like all movements produced by the Minerva manufacture, one of the movement components is crafted into the shape of the Minerva arrow to pay tribute to the manufacture's long-standing heritage.

The chronograph function of the Montblanc 1858 collection tachymeter chronograph limited edition uses a central chronograph seconds hand and a chronograph minute sub-dial at the 3 o'clock position. Other display functions on the dial include: a tachymeter scale circling the dial, and a small seconds sub-dial located at the 9 o'clock position.
Montblanc 1858 collection dual time automatic watch
The unique style of the Montblanc 1858 collection dual time automatic watch is reminiscent of the well-known military Minerva watches of the 1930s. The features of this highly recognizable vintage watch include: a traditional black dial, cathedral hands, and Arabic numeral hour markers coated with beige Super-LumiNova luminescence. The Montblanc 1858 collection dual time automatic watch adopts a 44mm-diameter stainless steel case paired with a bronze bezel and crown.

This watch is equipped with the MB 29.19 automatic movement, featuring a dual time zone display function. The movement is entirely self-developed and assembled by the Montblanc watchmaking workshop, equipped with a second time zone display and a day/night display function. The skeletonized hand displaying home time is located in the centre of the dial, with its tip coated in Super-LumiNova luminescence to distinguish it from the hour hand which is fully coated in Super-LumiNova. The watch's dual time zone function offers the wearer great convenience during travel, allowing the wearer to set the local time hand to the destination time zone without affecting the running of the home time minute and second hands, thus ensuring timekeeping accuracy. The day/night display window located at the 12 o'clock position is linked to the home time hand, while the small seconds sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position displays the local time's seconds and date.
