Medium and high-end watches should undergo corresponding servicing every two to three years, which includes replacing waterproof components, testing timekeeping performance and movement power consumption, cleaning the movement, and maintaining the exterior. Such servicing will effectively extend the lifespan of your watch.

Watch Water ResistanceWater resistance is achieved to the corresponding specification relying on waterproof rubber seals at the crystal, case back, crown, and other locations. All water-resistant watches have the words WATER RESISTANT or WATERPROOF stamped on the case back. Watches without a water resistance mark are only dustproof and should avoid contact with water. A 30 metre (3A ATM, i.e., 3 atmospheres) water-resistant watch can be used for daily washing or in the rain, meaning water droplets only splash onto the exterior without any water pressure being applied to the watch. A 50 metre water-resistant watch is suitable for swimming and general housework, while a 100 metre water-resistant watch can be used for underwater work such as swimming and diving.
No water-resistant watch should be worn for hot baths, saunas, or used in environments with significant temperature changes. Because waterproof rubber seals are affected by temperature, they will expand and contract, creating gaps and accelerating aging, thereby causing water ingress and condensation inside the watch, which in severe cases will damage the internal components.

Straps and bracelets are categorized into: ceramic bracelets, metal bracelets (tungsten-titanium alloy, solid steel, solid brass, solid powder metallurgy steel, steel mesh, wire mesh, etc.), leather straps, nylon woven straps, and others.
Shock resistance: When a watch is accidentally dropped from a height of 1 metres onto a horizontal hardwood surface, the residual effect of a quartz watch does not exceed 2 seconds, and the residual effect of a mechanical watch does not exceed 60 seconds.
