A waterproof watch is not a swimming accessory

GenerallyWaterproof watchMust never be worn for swimming or bathing. Even if water splashes onto the watch or water vapour entersWatchinside, therefore, it will cause the internal parts of the watch to rust.
When setting the time and winding, the rubber seal inside the crown or crown tube will gradually suffer from wear and tear. Thermal expansion and contraction caused by temperature differences reduces the water resistance of water-resistant watches: this creates gaps in the case, allowing water to enter due to aging of the waterproof rubber seal.
