Can you sleep while wearing a watch? What happens if you sleep with a watch on?
Many people have the habit of wearing a watch, but some get so used to it that they are reluctant to take it off, even wearing it to sleep. However, you may not realise that sleeping with a watch on is very harmful. You could be affected by the cumulative effects of radiation, which is detrimental to your health and can also affect the lifespan of both the watch and the wearer.
Detrimental to watch maintenance
Whether wearing a luxury watch orReplica luxury watch, in short, sleeping with a watch on is detrimental to watch maintenance. When sleeping at night, dander from the body and fibrous dirt from the bedding can easily stick to the case and gradually seep into the movement. Over time, this seriously affects the watch parts and timekeeping quality. Especially when your wrist is exposed outside the duvet, the watch can easily knock against the bed frame, bedside table or wall, which can scratch the case at best, or damage the movement parts at worst.
Affects physical health
Wearing a watch to sleep at night will constrict the wrist. If the wrist artery is compressed for a long time, it will affect your physical health. Furthermore, sleeping with a watch on, especially a luminescent watch, is harmful to your health. This is because the luminescent material on the hands and dial of a luminescent watch is made of a mixture of radium and zinc sulphide, which is harmful to the human body. A small tip: the rays emitted by radium can excite the zinc sulphide crystals to glow. When sleeping with a luminescent watch on, the body is exposed to 8 to 9 hours of radium radiation during sleep, endangering physical health.

Causes unnecessary damage
Since watches and straps have sharp edges and corners, and people often toss and turn during sleep, wearing a watch to sleep can easily snag or even tear knitted mosquito nets, underwear and bedding, causing unnecessary damage.

If you do this regularly, it will not only significantly shorten the lifespan of your watch, but it is also detrimental to your own health. This is because blood flow slows down after falling asleep, and wearing a watch can restrict blood circulation in your wrist. If you wear a luminescent watch, there is also a radiation effect; although the amount of radiation is very small, it can accumulate over time and lead to adverse consequences, significantly reducing your lifespan.
In addition, sleeping with a watch on exposes it to moisture and debris. This will more or less slowly penetrate into your watch. Over time, the hairspring or other parts of the watch will begin to rust. Once the rust accumulates to a certain point, the only way to repair it is to replace the parts.
