Since then, different J12 have appeared almost every year, including chronographs and tachymeter men's watches. Since the establishment of the watch studio in 1987, all Chanel watches have been designed by artistic director Jacques Helleu and manufactured at the Chanel watch factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
In 2000, the arrival of the j12, designed by Chanel watch artistic director Jacques Helleu, shattered the image that Chanel watches were exclusively for women. The Chanel watch j12 follows a unisex path as a sports watch for both men and women; Chanel watches are the perfect combination of classic design style and the most advanced ceramic technology. In 2005, the Chanel J12 collection launched its first high-tech ceramic tourbillon watch, marking its entry into the field of high-complication watchmaking.
