The watch that grew up with me

Electronic products are phased out quickly, and digital watches are no exception. By the time I reached high school, because my studies were going quite well, my father gave me another watch. I still clearly remember it was a Fiyta watch; the design was very minimalist and it kept time very accurately. It was only later that I learned it was a quartz watch. Compared to a digital watch, a quartz watch has a much longer lifespan. This Fiyta watch stayed with me until I entered university and started working. Of course, being able to use it for so long was also due to my daily maintenance. By this time, I had a certain understanding of watches and was becoming increasingly fascinated by them.

After I started working and earned my first pot of gold, the first thing I did was buy a Swiss watch. The reason I chose a Swiss watch is that Switzerland is the home of watchmaking; Swiss watches are not only excellent in craftsmanship but also represent a pursuit of artistic taste. At the time, I only had eyes for Rolex, and I spent all my salary to purchase aRolexRolex, which meant I had to live frugally for a long time afterwards just to make ends meet. I do miss that youthful recklessness; I was just being impulsive without too many concerns. This Rolex was treated like a treasure and carefully cared for; when I wasn't wearing it, I would carefully place it back in its box for safekeeping.

Until this year, that Rolex, purchased with my first pot of gold, still lies quietly in its box. I don't wear it easily because it holds great commemorative significance. Nowadays, I own more than one watch, and whether it isIWCan IWC, orOmegaan Omega, they have all become my pursuit in watches. A watch is like an old friend of many years, silently accompanying me, reminding me of the time, telling me to be punctual, and helping me understand the concept of time.
